OUR SERVICES
Wildflower Pediatric Therapy offers occupational, physical, and speech therapy to provide personalized and functional care for each child.
Occupational Therapy
Pediatric occupational therapy aims to help children become as independent as possible in their daily activities. These activities may include basic self-care tasks such as self-feeding, managing picky eating, bathing, dressing, and toilet use, as well as school-related skills like handwriting and scissor skills.
Occupational therapists evaluate each child to identify their strengths and weaknesses in skills that are developmentally appropriate for their age group. This encompasses areas such as fine motor control, bilateral coordination, visual motor and perceptual skills, executive functions (including attention, organization, and planning), emotional intelligence and regulation, and social skills. Occupational therapists also assess each child’s sensory processing experiences to develop strategies that help them regulate their sensory needs throughout the day.
Wildflower Pediatric Therapy believes in the importance of involving parents and families in the therapy process. Together, we discuss their priorities and concerns to create a comprehensive plan of care that addresses both the child's and family's needs, ensuring tailored and effective occupational therapy services.
Physical Therapy
Pediatric physical therapy promotes improved functional mobility to foster participation in daily activities. Our physical therapists utilize play-based interventions that target balance, coordination, strength, motor planning, and more to promote acquisition of crawling, rolling, sitting, walking, ball skills, stair navigation, bike riding, and group play.

Physical therapists evaluate each child to determine their strengths and weaknesses in age-appropriate developmental skills. Areas of evaluation include balance, locomotion, ball skills, bilateral coordination, strength, and agility. Evaluations can be modified to address musculoskeletal, developmental, or neurological conditions. Physical therapists work closely with occupational therapists to address sensory needs that may be impacting gross motor skills.

Wildflower Pediatric Therapy believes in the importance of educating parents and caregivers throughout the therapy process to ensure all concerns are being addressed and intervention is carried over at home. This addresses the child's needs across multiple environments with expert input from a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
Speech Therapy
Pediatric speech therapy fosters improved communication skills to support participation in daily activities, learning, and social interactions. Our speech-language pathologists use evidence-based interventions to target speech clarity, language development, social communication, fluency, and feeding/swallowing skills. Therapy may address many goals, including improving vocabulary, forming sentences, understanding directions, engaging in conversations, and building skills for feeding and swallowing safely.
Speech-language pathologists complete evaluations to identify communication strengths and challenges, using standardized assessments and clinical observation to develop individualized treatment plans. Areas of evaluation include articulation, receptive and expressive language, social/pragmatic language, fluency, and feeding/swallowing function. Evaluations can be tailored to address developmental delays, neurological conditions, and other underlying causes of communication difficulties.
At Wildflower Pediatric Therapy, collaboration is at the heart of our approach. Speech-language pathologists work closely with families and physical and occupational therapists to create interventions that address the child’s unique sensory, motor, and social needs. By empowering families and working together, we aim to enhance every child’s ability to connect, express, and thrive.
